Yowza. So yesterday was date night, double date night to be precise. A scheduled dinner and movie date was enhanced as rain, thunder and excessive lightning was added to the menu. Seeing as how the storm started around 4pm, we were able to get a fantastic view of the lightning’s affect during midday lighting.
And then, as if that wasn’t cool enough, we got a double rainbow at...

Happy Birthday, Sunshine
Very few people can overwhelm me with happiness like this little munchkin. Despite our age difference, we remain some of the closest siblings I know, and I’ve been so grateful for that. Me: Oh yeah, you can get pink peppercorns, black peppercorns, white, green, szechuan.

Just in case you thought I’d forgotten, because I almost did.
A nice graphic design/photography mix by Germany’s own Jonathan Paul, found on Smashing Magazine’s May Desktop Wallpaper lineup. You can get this wallpaper here.
In the spirit of royalty, I cannot exclude a simple but elegant contribution found on Simple Desktops by Lauren Morris. You can get this wallpaper...

Things you forgot you used a microwave for
- reheating coffee
- melting chocolate
- delicious instant oatmeal
- softening butter
- making homemade comfort food custard
- reheating anything Coolest trick I’ve learned this week:
Put lukewarm coffee in an oven-safe tea kettle and place on the broil rack of a recently turned off oven for 10-15 mins. Delicious reheated coffee!

Sandwich.
4 months and 3 days I have lived here, and today was the first time I was too lazy to make anything but a sandwich for supper. I can live with that.

“…You encounter a person you met at a party the pervious night and to whom you are attracted, but then ignore you when you say hello. Which of the following emotions would you experience: A. “Just like always. I’ll never find anyone who likes me.” B. “What a relief! Now I won’t be distracted from my usual 50-our study week and my thimble collection.”...
